209. Teach Them to Pray

Repeat them to your children. Talk about them when you’re at home or away, when you lie down or get up. Write them down, and tie them around your wrist, and wear them as headbands as a reminder. Write them on the doorframes of your houses and on your gates." Deuteronomy 6:5-9It isn't enough to simply have them follow the orchestrated and organized motions of their faith. Instead, we mommas are called to teach our children to love God with all of their hearts, all of their souls, and all of their strength. To love God means to spend time with him. Praying is our most intimate way of communicating with the King of the World. But what if simply telling our children to pray is not enough?
